There was a post on FR a while back about how the loss of liberty is not a "sliding slope", but rather a staircase.. One step at a time in order to let the populace get use to the idea before moving on to the next outrage...
It’s amazing red Virginia lasted as long as it did with that huge sociopath magnet next to it drawing sociopaths from all over the US to settle and vote in VA. With the growth of the fed state in the last 40 years or so it’s a wonder this didn’t happen long before. Everyone should consider how their own state would do treading water with that ever-growing boat anchor attached to your state for decade upon decade.
The fed state should be rotated between all the states and regions so everyone gets their fair share of the misery. Let the fed bueracracy and the giant fed private support structure become rootless gypsies that vote by mail in their home state. Seems to me it would be a good trade off considering the high pay and fantastic benefits.

Here’s the end goal. Everyone in cities in stack and pack housing. Subways or other public transportation. No cars. Huge rural areas without people because they want to rewild half the country.

It’s all communism of course. But it links the release and over-protection of large predators, esp wolves, the destruction of ranches and farms, like the Bundy escapade, and even the hatred for the border wall.

IIRC Humphrey was actually the last presidential candidate to actually be an NRA Lifemember. I don’t beleive Reagan or Bush ever joined the NRA.

You knew there were elections. In fact they were off-off year which makes the job easier. You just failed. All I heard from Virginians on here is we can’t do anything due to northern virginia so we will lose anyway and that was days before the election.

The murder of babies and the cool way in which the governor spoke of the horror wasn’t enough to ROUSE people who care.
But, try to take their guns away, and I agree that got voters attention, and now maybe they could DO something about that terrible person who occupies the governor’s mansion.
I pray they can do something meaningful about him now.
The NRA is finally getting in motion and has organized several town hall meetings in advance of the Senate Courts of Justice Committee hearing on January 13th. The NRA-ILA wants a large turnout to show the degree of opposition. In addition, the NRA-ILA is urging their membership to call or email the incoming Chairman well before the hearing. I am interested in everyone’s opinion of that later request. The Radical left looks like it is going to try and rush nerw gun control laws threw and might use any contact information given to the Chairman’s office as an initial list for direct action against gun owners. Any views?
