Joe....gaff a minute. Wouldn't it be funny to see an infomercial by Ron Popeil selling a pull-string toy that blurts out stupid sentences, word salad phrases and creepy stories. The Gaff-o-Matic would be a replica doll of Quid-Pro-Quo-Joe himself, for only three easy payments of $19.95.

They aren't gaffes. Joe, in my layman's opinion is suffering from a condition called ''aphasia''. I've worked in three nursing homes and have seen this in many elderly people. When you work in a nursing in NJ, where I live state law requires you to learn all about dementia and it's many forms. There are actually seven of them. Aphasia is a kind of dementia in which a person has difficulty in form coherent thought and organizing such thoughts into coherent speech and syntax. Joe is a sick man. I don't understand why his family is letting him do this to himself.
