What a shame. I thought for sure he'd enjoy a long retirement when he left the airwaves early this year, but I guess he'd lived a hard life.

He's got his fans and detractors, but he was a legend in the radio business. Even when his ratings were mediocre he still commanded top advertising dollars because his listeners were among the wealthiest and most accomplished people in the nation's major metro areas.

I believe he was diagnosed with prostrate cancer back in 2009, so he knew he was on borrowed time I reckon. That borrowed time turned out to be quite a while. 8>)
