Collyer is just covering her ass by laying on all the blame on the FBI. No doubt the FBI was fraudulent and should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, but the court should certainly not be excused for their lack of oversight. It appears FISC rubber stamps all the applications submitted which is not acceptable.

Where is John Roberts? Doesn’t he oversee the FISA courts? At the very least, he ought to make a public statement acknowledging the court messed up big time and explain how he will make sure the problems are corrected

I for one would like to add my voice to the growing chorus of those demanding Justice Roberts step down (I know nobody else is singing in my chorus just practicing my liberal outrage speak). He is totally corrupt and tainted. He didn't know the FISA courts were just rubber stamping the FBI requests - tell me another. This guy is the principal jurist in America and he is dirty, like Comey/Wray, Lynch, Holder, Brennan, Obama - every layer of the law and order legal/justice system power pyramid... disgusting

They were designed to be rubber stamps, back when they were supposed to be a formality for approving spying on foreign terrorists and spies and such. After all, the intelligence agencies are going to spy on those people whether they can get a warrant or not. So the court might as well approve it, so we at least have some kind of oversight and record of the spying. They just continued to be rubber stamps when the deep staters expanded their mission to include every citizen in the country. That’s where the real trouble started.
