I have my doubts, and I live there. Statewide elections are still aggregate popular votes, and the weight of communist population densities pretty much preclude a Republican ever winning statewide office again in my lifetime. The best we an hope for is to retake the legislature and re-establish the previous stalemate. I hope I am overly pessimistic.

Consider nearby communist stronghold of Maryland where I lived for 30+ years. The commies only need to win three jurisdictions, PG and Montgomery counties and Baltimore city, and that has been the foundation of their strategy for three decades. The GOP presence in the legislature is negligible. The current liberal Republican governor is an anomaly.
