To: irish guard
I've seen that movie at least a dozen times and never found it difficult to watch. Interesting point about abortion however. I do wonder sometimes what the world would be like if all those babies were allowed to be born. Perhaps we'd have a cure for cancer or some other invention that would have changed our lives for the better.

Donna Reed was perfect in that movie.

You know, I too have watched the movie over and over again and not once did I take his wish to have never been born to mean he wished he had been aborted.

I am only guessing, as abortion was not the hot bed social issue at the time of the filming, if one really studied the premise they might come up with the conclusion that having “never been born” came as the result of no conception.

Strange how the mind works and how much social issues cloud judgement.
