Estimates have been given that The Boring Company will be worth far more than Tesla and SpaceX in the near future.

Wow...hadn't heard that. It's really amazing how he can enter a rather mature market and develop innovations. I was reading the history of his first three TBMs on Wiki. The first was a stock purchased unit; the second was a modified commercial machine; the third is almost all-new from the ground up by his engineering and development team.

Count me as one of the many who were highly skeptical of Elon Musk. Until I read up on him and viewed his interviews. Despite his quirks, credit must be given him for thinking outside the box and pushing technology along. He might fail, his companies might fail, but he has prodded others into building better technology.

As for that proposed new hyperloop, it really isn't ready for primetime and will be an expensive boondoggle. Maybe in five years, when Musk has perfected his proof-of-concept tunnels and TBMs.
