It was interesting that the same week Yovanovitch was scheduled to testify, President Trump planned to host Erdogan of Turkey at the White House. I’m sure Erdogan was very happy that she had been fired. Previously Yovanovitch had been the Ambassador to Armenia. Turkey has been subject to a lot of criticism due to their treatment that killed so many Armenians from 1915 to 1919 that many called it “ethnic cleansing.” Yovanovitch had not actually used those words publicly but she did say that Turkey had done bad things. Was part of getting rid of her done to warm up relations with Turkey?
