While I don’t approve I am not surprised instuitionalist like Webster is defendind what he perceives as an attack on his instution.
It’s truly frighting to me that nearly all of our elected representatives literally could not care less about FBI corruption. Our government has lost all checks and balances in the Age of Trump. Hatred and fear of Donald J. Trump and those who voted for him has trumped all. With normalcy bias reigning it’s hard to see how this can be changed.
I know many FBI Agents who are superb and fine human beings, many have served their country in the military before even entering the FBI!
Don’t you dare try to claim that every FBI agent is indecent!
There are clearly corrupt individuals in this organization and Comey is a snake, but don’t for one minute try to claim every person in the FBI is indecent.
Yet not one single FIBber has resigned and publicly protested. Instead, they slavishly served Obama for 8 years and now hide under their desks while the current POTUS is assaulted by an ongoing coup. Why is that?
Doesn’t matter if (IF) there are a few good agents, the organization is FUBAR!! They are a danger to our country’s very existence. Wake the hell up man, you don’t try save something like them,they’re irredeemable, and need to go away now, permanently, forever. They all suck, tell that to your good friends.
. . . and that is precisely why the egregiously political misbehavior of Comey and his immediate (at the least) subordinates was so destructive.And wishing away the mal - and I do mean mal - feasance by Comey et. al. is no way to improve the situation.

Deep into this Tech age, the continued use of 302s ilo audio recordings is dangerous and criminal.
They don’t care because the populace has been indoctrinated, doesn’t care. We very well may be living in a post-Constitutional country. The representatives and keepers of our institutions are more concerned about protecting themselves and their friends instead of ensuring that they are doing their jobs and safeguarding our freedoms. Disconnect between the leaders and the governed.
We would not have known any of this at this time in history but for Trump being a political black swan. The enmity of the power structure should be expected. When Trump said he was going to drain the swamp, what he has shown is that the swamp is really an ocean. It may be impossible to drain.
Webster was the milktoast “gatekeeper” of the FBI after Hoover. He never understood how the Bureau was emasculated by the Democrats under the Sen. Church hearings and the weak puissant report from the House.
Instead of making it stronger, he, if I remember correctly, kept it weak under the Carter administration (where all US intelligence organizations underwent some kind of eunachization (FBI, CIA, police).
I saw it literally first hand and knew that the Democrats had laid the basis for more Soviet advances in espionage and political penetration (both of which did happen on a major scale), and for some major intelligence failure in the future (i.e., 9/11 exploited our major intell weaknesses of the CIA, FBI and some local police).
The Democrats are the enemy of America, more so re the immediacy of today, then are the Red Chinese and Russians( who are the major threats down the rode which the Obama Marxist regime ignored).
