Theyre populists - not conservatives. They broadly favor a mix of traditional values aligned with government spending to uplift the most disadvantaged and left behind sectors of society.
In other words, people left behind by neoliberal globalization policies pursued by both the Left and the Right.
Support for Brexit doesnt fall neatly along the old traditional left-right ideological divides.
Funny how you never hear about the Left offering an “olive branch” to our side when they win.
