Today Rush talked about how Senate GOP should take a lesson from the House and stand strong!
“If ten GOP Senators vote to convict, then not only will they be committing political suicide, but the GOP will go the way of the Whigs. 90% of GOP voters approve Trumps performance. The GOP is on trial, not Donald Trump.”
Any GOP Senator who is not running for reelection will not be committing political suicide (Burr and Alexander for example). Others (Romney, Murkowski, Collins) do not fear the voters. How many others are compromised in some way and will vote to convict because they are being extorted? Given the above, at least 10 may vote to convict. Add new surprise evidence, another 10 may vote to convict “for the good of the nation.”
Clearly Lindsay Graham and Mitch McConnell intend to keep President Trump from presenting a defense. It is not a good sign when the leaders of his own party in the Senate seek to prevent his voice from being heard.
And Rs are about as trustworthy as pirates.

In a secret vote, they’d get 35 like Flake said.
There are plenty of Bush League Republicans that would love to stop Trump from reversing the Bush Plan for North Mexico, if they could only figure out how to do it without destroying themselves.
Maybe the suckass should wait until after the evidence, or lack of, until counting votes.
Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) stated that he thinks...
And from that point it was one big LMAO.
I do not... He represents CT residents perfectly... Your very few so-called "sane" ones are not "sane" at all... Just hunkered down like well-behaved serfs...
My first-hand experience with about 300 or so CT in-laws confirmed this to me many years ago (All it took was me wearing, to the annual summer family picnic, a t-shirt and hat with the name of a beautiful Alaskan woman on it.)...
Yep! 90% stinking communists... 10% keep their mouths shut and opinions to themselves...
(2014) Blumenthal getting nearly swiped by high speed train, at train safety event.
Welcome to my world. He is a slimy scumbag!
Agreed

So he is not only dishonest, but he is an idiot...
That head wound he got in ‘Nam must be really bad...

Blumenthal is a joke, but this is serious business...
Stolen Valor Sinator Da Nang Dick declares “DERP !”
Signaling intent from the senate again...
They are going all in.
Me!
Can you clarify? and where you heard?
You mean full trial w/witnesses and evidence?
“up to ten”
>an admission that removal is impossible. Dems need 20. As of right now, they will lose 1 and pick up zero.
Senator “Dickhead” Blumenthal, “Stolen Valor, REMF’er”.
Just another indicator that the senate will end up voting to convict. There isnt a single Republican Senator that I implicitly trust right now, and at least a handful that would vote to convict without prodding.
The senate swamp is far from being the impeachment conviction kill switch that some people think it is.
“Unpredicted evidence is exactly what is going to happen.”
Certainly sounds like the RATS may drop a December surprise. Maybe another whistleblow job, or another accusation of wrongdoing. Maybe they got to Bolton?
