Let’s play the ‘What if?’ game for a moment.
What if the president, now secure in a second term, proposed making Israel our 51st state. Can you imagine all the heads exploding over just floating that idea?
It would take someone like Mr. Trump do even think of doing something that daring.
AOC & her Squad would scream themselves hoarse from all the hatred. Well, I’d prefer Israel over Puerto Rico, that welfare state. Greenland may come along for the ride too, but not for a good while.

I love Israel, but I definitely oppose any suggestion that they become part of the United States; and I believe that Israelis would be INSULTED by the idea,

It is frightening that any conservative would propose bringing a foreign country into The Union.
Similar efforts with nearer-by Puerto Rico even bother me, though in many ways it, too, is a nice place.
It is exactly THAT type of thinking that induces muzzie kooks to cook up, “the Little Satan, paired with The Great Satan”-type thinking.
Such narratives impede initiatives both from Israel and from the USA.
