This should make all NY driver’s licenses invalid as a form of ID for all federal purposes, including getting on an airplane, crossing a U.S. border, getting into a federal building, etc.

After a certain date, I don’t recall it exactly, the standard NY driver license will NOT be good for boarding airlines or crossing borders. You must get one of the Enhanced licenses offered by the state.
