House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler explained Sunday on CNN's "State of the Union" why he rejected requests from Republican members of his committee for a day of hearings with their own witnesses.
"The list of witnesses [that] they asked me to call, I said no to because they are irrelevant," Nadler said. "They can appeal to the full committee if they wish and we’ll have a vote on that. But like any trial judge, you keep the witnesses to the relevancy... Adam Schiff, they wanted, is not a relevant witness. He didn't witness anything."
House Judiciary Republicans asked for eight witnesses in total:
- The anonymous whistleblower and anyone the whistleblower relied on to prepare the complaint alleging Trump solicited election interference from Ukraine.
- House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff
- Alexandra Chalupa, a former Democratic National Committee contractor
- Fusion GPS contractor Nellie Ohr
- Former Vice President Joe Biden's son Hunter Biden
- Former Burisma board member and Hunter Biden's partner Devon Archer
- An intelligence community employee who Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman did not identify during his testimony before the House Intelligence Committee.

How many of the witnesses who WERE called actually witnessed anything?
You are not having a heart attack Jerry, the pain you feel is your belt buckle!!
They are relevant witnesses, simply because they were involved in the conditions that allegedly led to the so called whistleblowing complaint being filed as a matter of pure politics. Much of it in disregard for the laws in place.
The director of national intelligence won’t let anyone see the original complaint!
But the WH janitor’s wife’s 3rd cousin’s dog walker’s neighbor’s 3rd grade teacher’s hair stylist is.

JERRY NADLER: No, we said they will have the opportunity to call witnesses. They had to give me a list of witnesses. The list of witnesses they gave, they asked me to call, I said no to because they are irrelevant.
What a ####### joke! But at least the Republicans made him turn them down and Nadler has been put on record for refusing ALL of the Republican witnesses.

So the “whistleblower” who ostensibly started this BS is not a legitimate witness and the interviewer does not say WTH? These people are just shameless.
The Dem impeachment clowns surely haven’t produced any “relevant” witnesses.

The “relevance” of these people is not whether they knew anything about the facts on the ground as they may or may not relate to the 2016 election, and whether the Ukraine had that much influence, but why they lied about it continuously.
Their very credibility is in question.

Uh huh. The prosecution decides what witnesses to allow. And Nadler expects anyone to take him seriously?
