I’m constantly amazed by people who view the economy as some nebulous mystery that magically comes and goes instead of being a result of planned policies resulting in good or bad results. The media would rather credit voodoo than President Trump and his team for our current economic success.
I’ve heard some Democrats or liberal people, don’t remember who, saying that while certain economic indicators are good, that :
1. the economy is not benefiting everyone, thus, we can’t say it’s a good economy because some are left behind.
2. The economic growth we’ve seen has nothing to do with Trump and his policies. Rather, the economy would be doing even better if Trump weren’t there interfering with the economy with his alleged trade wars.
3. The economic expansion began while Obama was still president, so if we credit any president for current economic conidtions, that president should be Obama.
