I just heard the Base Commander on the Radio claiming the Base is a “Gun Free Zone”, apparently the Signage was inadequate and they should be thinking of suing the sign company for selling them a Defective Product.

ALL military bases are “Gun Free Zones” in that carrying a personal weapon is not allowed.

Note that this particular rule did not help the victims of the 2009 Fort Hood massacre or the 2013 Quantico Marine base, the 2014 Naval Station Norfolk, the 2014 Washington Navy Yard, or the 2019 Pearl Harbor and Pensacola shootings.

Reason, logic and common sense are no longer part of the process when establishing rules for civil (or military) society, apparently.
