President Trump on Friday said he spoke with King Salman of Saudi Arabia after U.S. officials said that a Saudi national was suspected of opening fire at a naval air station in Pensacola, Fla., killing three people and injuring several others. The Saudi leader expressed his condolences to the families of those killed in the shooting, Trump said.
Its a horrible thing that took place and were getting to the bottom of it, Trump said of the shooting during an event focused on deregulation.
Officials said the gunman was a member of the Saudi Air Force, and they are investigating whether the shooting at the naval base was terrorism related. The gunman, who has not been publicly identified, was killed by law enforcement responding to the scene.
The base's commanding officer said the suspect was training in aviation.

Why is Trump so chummy with the evil Saudi royals?
“I hope Trump told him that we expect Saudi Arabia to carefully screen the people they send here, and that for now, we are sending any other Saudi nationals on our military bases back to their homeland.”
I hope so to, but I doubt it. Trump is far too friendly with Saudi Arabia’s dictators. It’s a BIG blind spot with him, not consistent with putting America first.
every saud, gone.
Trump is lucky that the Dems and most establishment GOP are soft on the Saudis. Nobody is going to call him out for his disgraceful pandering to them.
“We may never know his motivation.”
The FBI said they will look into it./s
Trump did. He told the Saudis they better make full restitution to the families, remove all their military personnel from America, and pay damages to America or else the US would nuke Mecca.
Yeah. We sure are living it now. Good thing it looks like we are going to whomp them.
The swamp is YUGE and crosses the oceans. It’s polluting the world.
I can’t agree with members of the military training with us, or our military training with them, whether it’s friend or foe. It creates alliances among members of the military which could (and it seems like, does) impact their loyalties in the future.
For later.
Another gun free zone disaster
