House Intelligence Committee chairman Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) investigated Ranking Member Devin Nunes (D-CA) as part of his impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump, the committee report revealed on Tuesday.
The revelation that Schiff had obtained telephone records related to Nunes was the only new revelation in the report, which otherwise re-hashed Democrats’ arguments in favor of impeaching Trump for allegedly asking Ukraine to interfere in the 2020 election.
In a press conference Tuesday afternoon, Schiff declined to say when the committee had obtained the records, but given the Democrats’ repeated questions during the inquiry about administration officials who had worked with Nunes, such as former Intelligence Committee staffer (now National Security Council official) Kash Patel, it is likely the Democrats sought those records before or during the hearings.
The report cites media reports that Lev Parnas, an associate of Rudy Giuliani who has ben indicted on campaign finance charges, claimed that Nunes tried to meet with Ukrainians to “dig up dirt” on former Vice President Joe Biden. (Nunes had threatened to sue those media outlets, and did so on Tuesday, suing CNN for defamation; he does not appear to have been given an opportunity to answer the allegations in the report.)

No arm of the DOJ would issue subpoena for them.

I think it's dangerous to introduce presumed socio-economic political & philosophical differences as key determinants in driving foreign/domestic policies.
Rather, whether a believer in religious dogma or devout atheist, mankind is a fallible, economically motivated animal. For career military, take away artificial oaths and that means promotion, responsibility and pay grade - with $ multi-million stipends waiting in the wings from 'consulting', board membership, media commentating gigs, etc.
In this context, of course the MIC would support the Cold War - it was their bread and butter conflict. The true existential crisis was when the USSR collapsed; now what? Well, thank doG for the WOT, right? So of course the MIC would support Obama - he was all in on playing around in MENA.
That's why Trump has got to offer them something, otherwise they're not gonna have his back.

The Constitution, which has been in freefall for a few decades, is close to hitting the ground and I still see no safety net.

I honestly don’t get it. Who the hell would really want to hitch their wagon to this star? Same rehashed fake accusations, with a new topping of what Joe Biden did in Ukraine as if it were Trump doing so (and the evidence already shows never happened... as the Democrats probably knew going into this.)
I mean, seriously, what was the plan here? Trump would step forward and surrender, immediately giving up the presidency in favor of Pence? Where’s the haymaker for Pence to get him out before a VP can be confirmed?
Man, is there nothing that Trump won’t do? Look how many liberal plans he’s upset over the past four plus years during his campaign and presidency.

So the unsubstantiated rumor last week was that Schiff was at the standard hotel some time ago. A 12 year old boy had been pumped with meth and Schiff was having his way with him in one of the rooms, when Schiff discovered the boy was dead. The cleanup crew arrived to clean up the crime, but unfortunately one of the Hotel employees saw what was going on. She was later killed in the Helicopter crash(Along with others). The rumor also stated that Schiff was being video recorded.
I would say that rumor was a bit to far fetched to be true. But hey with Schiff then anything is possible.
Did ranking member Nunes know that Schiff subpoenaed AT&T for the phone records? I assumed he did because the republicans issued their 100 plus page document rebutting the democrats. Schiff just made himself a target in the Senate trial because I’m sure that Lindsey Graham wants to know how he got those phone records. Adam Schiff just solidified Republican support in the House for Trump.
