President Trump is Hong Kong’s sudden hero.
Hours after he signed two bills to support human rights in Hong Kong, angering Chinese government officials, pro-democracy protesters in the beleaguered city held a “Thanksgiving Rally” Thursday night to commend him for taking the action.
And front and center at the rally were printouts of the president’s Wednesday tweet showing his head on Rocky Balboa’s chiseled body.

The Chinese slaughtered the people in Tianamen Square because they knew the US admin at the time was convinced the US ‘needed’ the Chinese more than the Chinese needed us. The PRC knew the US would do whatever it took to ignore or distract criticism of the slaughter and would move to snuff out coverage before it could affect the bottom line.
The Chinese have no such assurances this time... quite the opposite, and so they’ll have to be very careful with the protesters, at least so long as Trump’s in office. Unless they can take out Trump, the Chinese either have to make a deal or wait through the rest of this term plus 4 yrs and possibly a Pence admin too before they can get another weak admin to bow to them.
Seems they yearn for a face for their movement but have none, and that “Trump as Rocky” meme is resonating.

Trump’s a rock star to 10s of millions and as such is an INCREDIBLE danger to the very powerful.
And I fear for him but I think the deep state knows that if anything were to happen to Trump the backlash would possibly mean the literal end of them.
And they enjoy life too much to take that chance
