I hate to break it to you, but to those of us up here, the South Bay area isn’t considered Nor Cal.
For 40 years I’ve argued that very point. We are actually MidCal. But it’s hopeless. So, no, you aren’t breaking it to me at all.
Admittedly, I used to consider anything from Monterey and Fresno and northward to be NorCal. But I’m ready to draw the line north of Sacramento.
