You probably mean Mrs. H.R. Clinton, but the same sense of waiting to save the party could be said about Mrs.Mike Obama.
She (Michelle) is the only one who I think could flip everything around in the Dems favor. Mostly because she would be new on the stage as an actual politician. The Media would be tripping over their own feet and their own tongues, trying to pave her path back to the White House.
Imagine Chris Wallace on Fox :”Michelle, can I get a Selfie with you? I can’t believe I’m asking this of a candidate!”

Correct, but I don’t see any way Michelle becomes a threat, and because of that, they won’t nominator her. She offers nothing new, and her only real political statements in the past only deal with how much she hates America. So, not happening.
Kerry or Gore maybe, or maybe a governor who can actually get some votes from non-Communists, like Edwards in Louisiana or Manchin, but not Michelle.
