A former U.S. Senate candidate's silence on why he dropped out is making a Democratic presence in the Arkansas race unlikely. Speaking with reporters at party headquarters Monday, state Democratic Party Chair Michael John Gray voiced his disappointment.
"There are emotions all across the range of them of the frustration that at this point it does not look like there will be a Democratic candidate on the ballot," Gray said.

Good for Cotton.
Should free up resources for other Senate seats.
One down. 59 to go.
H->! is not available?
One down. 59 to go.
Your comment makes no sense. There are only 33 Senate seats up for election.
Bill Clinton weeps...
Jed Clampett?
Ya, why doesn’t Hillary go back to her actual home state and run for the Senate?
Afraid of the humiliation of losing by a big margin in her allegedly beloved Arkansas?
If the Clintons loved Arkansas so much, why didn’t they return after Bill’s time as president was done?
Her actual home state is Illinois, we dont claim her.
Cot-own owns Arkansas.
This guy at the last minute pulled out after he was exposed on some things, work history, FEC filing problems, and paying himself a salary to run for office out of his campaign funds.
At the time he pulled out there was no time left for anyone else to file and he did not have a valid reason so they could not appoint a replacement. He hired a lawyer and has refused to talk to the party about why he left or anything else.
So Cotton gets a free ride because of total incompetence on the Democrat Party's part in not vetting their candidate better.
They wanted to live in D.C. and New York don’t you know.
double agent?
He’s a good man. Good that we won’t have to expend resources to keep that seat.
The Senate races next year haven’t gotten a lot of attention, but I’ve heard it’s a tough map for the GOP.
Let’s hope Trump has some good coat tails. Remember that voter turnout tends to be a good bit higher in a presidential election year, which can hurt the GOP as more Democrats turn out.
Yep.
I still haven’t figured out how the Clintons bought two mansions, one in New York and one in Washington, right at the time they left the White House dead broke. How did they do that?
I read recently that Bill Krystol thought he could get Cotton to run 3rd party against Trump in 2016. Now why would he ever entertain that idea if Cotton is really what he projects himself to be? It’s just another data point on Cotton. I do not trust Cotton at all after his sorry non-performance on the Senate intel committee.
COTTON for President 2024
I mean in toto. I girl can wish.
Friends in high places gave them loans with no collateral.
You forgot Bill’s apartment in Ireland.
