Other than Confucianism or Daoism, all other major religions in China -— Christianity, Buddhism and Islam were imported from the West. Marxism/Communism (which is like a religion) is the most recent.

And as far as Islam, the PRC did recognize Islam as a Chinese religion, a minority one, but native to China.

Yes. But what’s interesting is until recently Chinese communist position was that Islam native to Chinese, not subject to the same constraints as foreign religions like Christianity.
Lucky them, get saved from the Koran and Islam so you can “obey” Chinese orthodoxy.
Except for the concertina-covered walls, there is hardly any difference between their policies, techniques, and goals and those of the government K-12 indoctrination asylums in the U.S.
Even the differences (severe beatings, shooting attempted escapees, etc...) are clearly in the future within the U.S, based on the current tyrannical trends in local, State, and federal governments...
Maybe by 2035, the chicoms will be publishing stories about the really horrific treatment in the U.S. indoctrination asylums...
Communist China is 70 years old. Islam has been inside China for far longer thsn that.
Nobody cared about any repression in China until it was aimed at moslems. It’s probably not cool, but i have about 600 things I am more worried about.
Islam has been a threat to EVERYONE else on the planet since Mad Mo launched his war plan disguised as a religion.
The Chinese at least recognize the threat....

They see what’s happening in China’s Western Province and understand that if the Chicoms can do what they’re doing in Xin Jiang, they can do it in Hong Kong.
