Your sentiment about the law is naive and dangerous. Law is FORCE. It is not reason, or kindness or debate. Those who enact the laws use our money to employ others to ensure we are kept in our place.
There may be some prettifying and window dressing to make law more palatable, but I repeat:
Law Is Force.
