The Manhattan district attorney's office asked the Supreme Court to reject President Trump's effort to shield his tax returns from a grand jury subpoena, in a case where the president's lawyers have argued that he is immune to any criminal investigation or prosecution.
A federal appeals court had ruled that Trump's accounting firm must hand over eight years of tax returns and other financial records and the president last week appealed that decision.
The district attorney's office argued in a brief filed Thursday that the appellate ruling was narrowly focused to the facts of the case and does not merit a review from the nation's highest court.
"The only question here is whether a third-party custodian of the President’s financial records may be subpoenaed for those records when they are relevant to a secret grand jury investigation and completely unrelated to any official action (and in fact were largely created before the President took office)," the prosecutors wrote.

What are they looking for in his Tax returns, exactly? Do they really expect to see Stormy Daniels listed as a dependent?
I think there is a line on his returns that show how much the Russians pay him each year. Or something.
Perhaps Trump could fully immunize himself from ANY further investigations by proclaiming himself to be black.
The way things have going for the Democrats lately, they’ll finally get a judge to release Trump’s tax returns and discover he’s owed a huge refund...
They hope to create a narrative that he hadn’t paid all his taxes, because most people could not understand his tax return.

That’s all the Court needs to see and the case is over.
Immunity and it is that simple.
If the CA. high court debunks the push for Trump’s tax returns there is NO WAY anyone is getting those returns!!! Tax returns are PRIVATE information and MANY know they are walking a very thin line where THEY themselves could be held to the same thing!! To many powers that be would NOT want to have to produce their returns upon demand by anyone!!!
Supreme Court must maintain a no fishing zone for the President. If there was even a smidgen of a crime maybe but all licenses for state and federal govt’s fishing are hereby revoked.
The only thing that would make that cartoon perfect, would be if Tina showed the boat in a swimming pool.
