What an embarrassment they've become to our country.
If the IRS were to audit all the Democrat members of Congress since Obama came in (or even before), they would have to build more jails.
Simply put, the Democrats are absolutely corrupt, because absolute power corrupts absolutely and the Democrats are the most corrupt political party in American history.
Lots of Soviet/Communist Party and other Marxist organizations have gone to the Dems since the 1930’s but with the exception of Samuel Dickstein (NKVD by admission), literally none of the Dem/CP crowd has ever been investigated - Abzug, Chisholm, Conyers, Crockett, Dellums, DeLacey, Porter, Burton family, P. Mitchell (Md), Filner (Pa - son of two CPUSA organizers), Sinema (D-Az), Waters, Chu (Red China), Meng (Red China, Danny Davis (CP ties), Laura de Rosa (Ct - CP ties in New Haven), John Kerry (Hanoi ties), Ted Kennedy (Soviet ties), etc.
Just look at the names of Democrats who sponsored and/or fund-raised for CPUSA, SWP, CWP, RCP, WWP and other communist/Marxist parties, organizations, fronts, etc. Many can be found at www.keywiki.org, under the name of the individual or the name of an organization they supported, such as All-Peoples Congress, Peoples Anti-War Mobilization, ANSWER, International Action Center, U.S. Peace Council, National Alliance Against Racist & Political Repression, etc.
lots of IRS violations there and Soros is adding to them every day in national politics.

BTW: I think Trumps lawyers should be arguing they have no legitimate need for this information - heck, most of them have been using it as a campaign issue to get elected - which pretty much demonstrates it is nothing more than a political witch hunt.

It’s like they have never actually looked at a tax return. They think they will “prove” that Trump is not rich. Well, a tax return assesses taxable income, not wealth. You can have a net loss of millions in a year, and still have billions of dollars.
They also seem to believe that Trump’s tax returns will somehow document his crimes. Like his itemized income will include items like:
$150,000,000 Income received from V. Putin for betrayal of America
And deductions will include:
$50,000 allowable expense for incontinent escorts in St Petersburg
The Rats are just snooping. They have no business looking at Trump’s returns.

That’s exactly right. None of these @ssholes seem to understand that if it can be done to Trump, it can be done to them.
For regular income it is, but for its own purposes, not the rest of the government's. Of course, Lerner's abuse, with Obama WH collusion, was aimed at restricting access to charitable status. And, its said Clinton used audit power to hassle those he disliked. But flat out sharing of tax filings and audit info with the government was at least somewhat protected. That's why going after Trump's info is such a step down.
One of the "horrible" things Nixon was accused of was asking if he could use the IRS to hassle his opponents. Asking, not doing. But, that was then, and this is now.

If they Get Trump’s returns that should open avenues for all Congress’ returns. I’m looking forward to seeing AOC, Pelosi, Nadler, Schiff, and a few others.

Remember when Trump started his campaign and boasted that he was worth $10 billion? Ever since that day, the liberals wanted his tax returns to try to prove he “lied”.
I say, if SCOTUS directs he must release his tax returns, then Trump should petition to have ALL democrat returns released using the same rational (?) the dems are using to get his return.
