Democrat Sen. Mark Warner (VA) said during an interview this week that President Donald Trump deserves credit for allowing the United States to punch back at and use its offensive capabilities against Russias cyber attacks. He also noted that Trump has made it a lot easier to take action against Russia than former Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama.
Warner, the vice chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee, made the remarks on PBSs Firing Line with Margaret Hoover, which aired on Friday.
There are two main issues: There is the integrity of the election infrastructure, and then theres the disinformation campaigns, Hoover said. In your view, which is more important?
I think theyre equally important and I think we have gotten better in both areas, Warner responded. To give the Trump administration some credit here, [they allowed] for us to punch back in the cyber domain, which, both under Obama and Bush, we were reluctant to do.
Oh, how I wish that this awakening by Warner would be a sign that the RATS—and others—might be coming around to recognize and appreciate how blessed we are to have PDJT!!!
Now, if Warner could jolt Senator Burr, Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, into action to do the same!!!
Well, I read where Bill Clinton was asked what advice he’d give to Trump and he said (paraphrasing) “He was elected to do a job and that’s what he should do, let his lawyers handle the impeachment thing, and just go the work for the ‘Murican people”...
Good ole Bill, came right out and said it while Hillary was no doubt looking for a heavy object to fling his way.
He is covering his a$$ before the SHTF.
Exactly, and maybe he’s thinking of getting re-elected next year.
Yes, I did hear about Good ole Bill’s advice to PDJT the other day, offering wise words based upon his own experience.
BWT, I absolutely love your post. Thanks for sharing it with me.
Finally, TBH, I did vote for Bill in 1996, but I would never ever support Hillary and I really wonder how he’s remained married to her all these years. I also wouldn’t be surprised if he might have a black eye right now, knowing Crankles’ temper tantrums.
Hes ranking memberof the Senate Intelligence Committee andhe sees what is coming down the pike and is about to completely swamp the swamp.
Yep. And he is into it, too. Up to his neck. He has his fingers in this attempt to frame Trump.
Spooky
I absolutely disagree.
The integrity of the 'election infrastructure' is all that matters. Disinformation campaigns have always been there, and always will be. Our Mainstream Media is the greatest purveyors of disinformation (propaganda for the Godless Socialist/Communist viewpoint), and if Russians, or Chinese, or Brits, or etc, want to add to the disinformation - have at it. Heck, Google, Twitter, and Facebook are probably greater threats to the communication of accurate information.
The only issue is to ensure the integrity of our elections. That is - only citizens can vote, and vote only once. And they need to be alive. Voter ID is a must, and ballot harvesting needs to be outlawed.
Which is why the uni-Party is against Voter ID, and other measures that ensure only live citizens can vote (once). Today's system facilitates voter fraud to a ridiculous level (at least in California - hopefully other States are better).
Warner left out the bit where Trump authorized the slaughter of hundreds of Russian mercs in Syria. No way that was green-lighted without Trump being asked for his approval. No way most presidents, perhaps even Reagan, would have authorized it.
He get 10 different kinds of approval from the top before he said this I’m guessing.
A handful of folks who are in pro Trump areas will be given the right to talk a certain way sometimes so that they get reelected.
See post #8
BINGO! Warner is guilty as hell
And you know he is afraid of a threat to him which is not political because he lives in a safe state. This is the kind of threat where politics cannot save you.
