Revolt of the Ukraine Desk Bureaucrats

To date the Schiff hearings -- unfairly run as they are -- show nothing less than a revolt by the Ukraine Desk Bureaucrats in which they concede they are poorly armed with any facts sufficient to overthrow the president, whose only crime was to change the direction of our Ukraine policy in which they’d played a significant role.

History of Democratic Party’s Treatment of Ukraine

While the hearings might have led some to believe that U.S. policy respecting Ukraine has been consistently supportive, the facts are otherwise, and the President’s effort to change that has the bureaucrats' dander up.

Mickey Kaus details how then-ambassador Victoria Nuland supported the revolt against elected president Viktor Yanukovych “who was replaced in a parliamentary vote that was nevertheless short of what was required under the Ukraine constitution to impeach him.”

He finds parallels in the Ukraine desk bureaucrats’ actions there and here:

We were sending the Ukraine money and they were filtering it back to the corrupt Congress.

No wonder schiff is keeping the hearings severely limited in scope. Hopefully the corruption is exposed...

>He (Kent) defended Joe Biden’s threat to withhold U.S. military aid from Ukraine unless they fired the chief prosecutor who was investigating corruption, including Burisma. <<

But President Trump’s “threat” is an impeachable offense. Enough said.

BTW, Al Perrota’s satire should be read into the record by Jim Jordan. Good for the goose, good for the gander.

It’s almost unbelievable that the Dems are attacking Trump for going in a new direction with Ukraine relations when it was under Obama that Russia took the Crimea from Ukraine. I thought that Russia is our enemy while Ukraine is our friend. /s

Nothing is actually unbelievable when it comes to the Dems and their media accomplices.

It is obvious that the Democrats are making this up as they go along. It may work in the short term but the world does not move in the short term. Here we are three years into this administration, less than one year before the next election. The Democrats have been in control of the house for a little more than a year and they have nothing to show for it.

President Trump on the other hand has been able to do a lot even while the Democrats and the media attempt to obstruct his every move.

The tax cuts and deregulation have produced an economic boom for our nation.

Getting us out of the Paris Accord was a major saving for the American Taxpayers.

Building a fence and getting tough on Mexico has slowed the influx of illegals. When the Supreme Court rules in favor of Trump over DACA we will see more deportations.

Last we heard of North Korea they wanted someone to take a stick and beat Joe Biden like a dog.

Perhaps the greatest and most long lasting achievement is the number of judges he has appointed.

In the past the Democrats could trust the Media to influence the American people even when they (the Democrats were lying). That is not working for them today.

So the impeachment (whatever) is deflating faster then the Baby Trump balloon did when it got stabbed.

Those two questions to Yovanovitch by Rep Stewart were brilliant and her two “no” answers were hilarious.

That should have ended her appearance before the committee right then.

Yep - loved the look on her face as she tried to compose herself to give the simple “No” answers...looked like a pure lesbian trying to figure out what to do with a mouthful of ‘a certain male product’.
