John Bolton is being paraded as another John Dean. What's your informed opinion on Bolton as it pertains to impeachment.

He won't testify unless subpoenaed, and peeps are asking why the dems shouldn't wait and fight through what I assume would be court challenges based on exec., privilege.

I've seen conspiracies that Bolton wants to bring DJT down.

Pat, here in Carteret, NJ, we have 3 Amazon Warehouses, they plan on testing drone deliveries coming this spring.

The temptation to shoot one down would be high. Unfortunately for the one who would, aapprehension would be quick as no doubt they have a camera surveying the scene below.

why couldn’t he just testify in the Senate later in the courts approved it?

House passes impeachment on nothing...Senate has trial about nothing....but wait..at the last minute here comes Bolton in with NEW damning info

It will be fought at the local and state level with hardening positions on all fronts regardless of the issue. It will be about imposing positions if you are in the majority. And their will be a Resistance at all levels.

it were to be the military vs the deep state...

Parts of the military are part of deep state. Mattis, Kelly, McMaster, Vindmen, etc. see themselves as patriots preventing people like Trump from implementing their agendas. DOD has its own culture and values. It will protect what it deems as important. There is only a thin veneer of political appointees who oversee the bureaucracy. And the political appointees come and go. The bureaucracy remains. Look how Trump was thwarted when he tried to remove our military presence in Syria. Congress and DOD forced him to renege and now we have the same number of troops in Syria as before with their new mission of protecting Kurdish oil fields.

Why shouldn't DJT want to know if the investigation into Ukraine corruption will proceed before funds are released ?

If that was the case.

Actually, the funds were released after the newly elected Ukrainian administration was vetted, shown to be true reformers, and not a continuation of the previous corrupt bunch.

That is the actual "investigation" in play.

It also appears that the legislation appropriating the funds (and passed by the RATs) includes language compelling the chief executive to do exactly that.

Graham has taken over the role of McCain in being the mover and shaker in our endless wars. One failure after another. Graham was incensed when Trump wanted to pull our military presence in Syria to the point that he actually threatened Trump with dire consequences. In the end, Graham got his way.

Notice that Klobuchar is sitting at the same table with McCain and Graham along with our now infamous ambassador. Graham sees himself as the architect of our policy with Ukraine. He is pushing not only to provide lethal aid to Ukraine, but also, to have them enter NATO. IMO one of the reasons that Putin invaded Crimea was to ensure that the Russian base would remain even if Ukraine entered NATO. And a Ukraine in NATO also raises the possibility of a conflict with Russia under Article 5.

You can see from the testimony this week that our diplomats seem to be representing Ukrainian interests more than US interests. Since when is Ukraine vital to our national interests?

Yeah, I assumed as much.

I'm just wondering if there would also be a division among the troops, and division between them and certain members of DOD leadership.

That could go either way.

The local Fry’s (Kroger) has TWO banks of self-serve cashiers, but fortunately they always keep enough human cashiers open to prevent long lines, and the human cashiers are VERY quick and efficient.

Personally, I don’t mind the self-serve if I’m only buying a handful of items.

Yes, because all the free channels Rock mentioned you can get on the Roku and the Roku plugs right to your tv—so, you don’t have to watch it on the computer or tablet/phone—although some folks prefer it that way.

Thank of the Roku as an Internet streaming service aggregator (or a small computer as it is), whose input is a remote control and output is HDMI video and sound.

But only in the $25-100 price range. I got Roku sticks (the cheapest) and a Roku Ultra Premium on my main TV.

Of course, I pay for Amazon Prime, Hulu and Netflix, plus OAN, Curiosity Stream, Youtube Premium, and soon to be Disney+ (I’m a Marvel Fan Boy)—so it adds up. But there’s no limit on how many Roku’s/iPads/PCs I can watch all these pay-for-views on either.
