Silver bullet to hit us all (More climate change crap)

Silver bullet to hit us allMikhail Voytenko November 13, 2019 4:09 am

A silver bullet hits shipping, killing everything on its’ path, in form of new research commissioned by campaign groups Seas At Risk and Transport and Environment.

“Speed reduction is the closest thing to a silver bullet the IMO will ever see,” said Seas at Risk’s senior policy advisor John Maggs. “We’ve got a win from a climate point of view, we’ve got a win from a human health point of view, we’ve got a win for marine nature, we’ve got a potential safety gain, and up to a certain point we are saving the shipping industry money.”

Well, some research, I’d say! it’s much more of a demolition ball, used for dismantling old buildings, than of silver bullet. The whole “research” is your typical UN stuff. 49 pages of impossible to read mumbo-jumbo, called to prove the validity of speed reduction, and countless benefits it will bring. The most important issue is of course, CO2 emission reduction. The most important issue was substantiated by less than one page of a text, including a table. Out of total 49. According to table and text, 20% speed reduction will reduce CO2 emission by 24%.

Here’s one small problem, though – if there’s a regular line with rigid schedule and cargo volume (say, coal for power plant), reduced speed will require extra tonnage, and with that, CO2 emission will be reduced by 10% most, do your math.

It will of course, lead to hike in transportation costs, it will severely disrupt logistics chains, it will wreck a havoc – just think about some goods requiring speedy and timely delivery, such as pharmaceutical materials, private goods, etc. Again, as in case with Sulphur Cap, it will hit us all, not industry only. It’s a shot with global consequences. With that said, we have to keep in mind, that there’s no man-made global warming and that the CO2 gas is not a pollutant, and never was. CO2 is as vital for life, as oxygen.

As for other goals to be hit by a magic bullet, such as collisions with whale or noise reduction, all of them can be characterized as a pure silver lunacy. The ships trading the globe, are, according to all latest “studies” and researchers”, nothing but Death Stars from Star Wars movies. They kill everything they contact. Bacteria are dying, flees and mosquito are mercilessly killed by crews, unknown marine species are killed by ship’s hull, propeller and movement – shipping in short, is a sailing ecological disaster. Thank God we have sharpshooters firing silver bullets, and the IMO. IMO isn’t about shipping, by the way, IMO is all about destroying shipping.

Advise “campaign groups”, NGOs and IMO a final, golden bullet – ban them all, all motor ships, I mean. Leave afloat just some minimal number required for supplying elites with goods, which are necessary for them to keep their struggle for Mother Nature and Rescue Planet Quest. Such goods as you know, luxury cars and furniture, fuel to keep them warm and moving around in jets and mega yachts, caviar, beef and avocados, so on and so forth.

Of course they won’t fire a final shot using golden bullet, you know why? Take for example, lice or bloodsucking bed-bugs – they don’t kill living organism on which they parasite, instantly. They eat it live, and proliferate in the process, speeding up inevitable death of their only source of food they have. they don’t infect organism with the purpose of killing it, but with the purpose of feeding from it, here and now. They can’t think ahead, they indeed, can’t think at all. They can only eat and proliferate.

This would be far worse for the environment than they would advertise. We have a large and global logistics chain for food these days. A large fraction of our food comes shipped from around the world, from places where the seasons are offset, so we can eat fresh fruit in the winter, and tropical foods in northern latitudes. If we slowed down the ships, spoilage would increase, which would then require more farms to produce to make up for the spoilage. A 20% increase in spoilage would probably require millions of acres more in farms.

I'm surprised they didn't suggest switching to clipper ships.

Astrophysicist- Mini Ice Age is now accelerating ....(Or a new Maunder Minimum in the making)
Robert W. Felix
Ice Age Now
Sun, 02 Dec 2018 00:00 UTC

© Ice Age Now
Astrophysicist Piers Corbyn (brother of Jeremy)

Contrary to what the politicians are trying to foist on you, a new mini ice age - a new Maunder Minimum *- has already started.

“We are plunging now into a deep mini ice age,” says astrophysicist Piers Corbyn. “And there is no way out.”
For the next 20 years it’s going to get colder and colder on average, says Corbyn.
The jet stream will be wilder. There will be more wild temperature changes, more hail events, more earthquakes, more extreme volcano events, more snow in winters, lousy summers, late springs, short autumns, and more and more crop failures.

Carbon dioxide levels do not have any impact - I repeat, any impact - on climate,” says Piers. “The CO2 theory is wrong from the start.”
“The fact is the sun rules the sea temperature, and the sea temperature rules the climate.”

“The basic message is that the sun is controlling the climate, primarily via the sea.”

The new mini ice age began around 2013.

“What we have happening - NOW! - is the start of the mini ice age...it began around 2013. It’s a slow start, and now the rate of moving into the mini ice age is accelerating.”
“The best thing to do now is to tell your politicians to stop believing nonsense, and to stop doing silly measures like the bird-killing machines of wind farms in order to save the planet (they say), but get rid of all those things, which cost money, and reduce electricity prices now.

“Evidence shows that man-made climate change does not exist and the arguments for it are not based on science but on data fraud and a conspiracy theory of nature,” says Piers on his website.
“The world is now cooling not warming and there is no observational evidence in the thousands and millions of years of data that changes in CO2 have any observable effect on weather or climate in the real world.”
______________________
The human race may consider themselves very, very fortunate should it only last for twenty (20) years, as the last GSM Grand Solar Minimum or Maunder minimum lasted from 1645 to 1715, what amounts to just about 70 years.

It was accompanied by crop failures of course precipitating food shortages, many navigable waterways froze over, including the Thames river as well as political strive. Not only that but this recent GSM most likely is in conjunction with the r-occurring 3600 year signature cycle which 3600 years ago (approximately) brought about a series of plagues. The plagues of ancient Egypt for one, but as research shows, in reality were on a world wide scale.

Ranging from strange weather patterns such as enormous flooding along with draughts, increased earthquake and volcanic activities. Eventually precipitating in the expulsion of the Israelis from Egypt ending their bondage and was immortalized as the story of the EXODUS.

For some of you all this may sound strange, especially if you never have paid much attention to ancient history and for some it may even elicit a patronizing smile considering what you just have read as a bunch of BS. But I would suggest paying somewhat closer attention to some of the more recent events which already have been happening or are still in progress on a world wide scale, such as massive floods with a month worth of rain in a day or so, or unprecedented snowfalls, along with an increase in quakes as well as volcanic eruptions.

So it is no big surprise when people who have he means and are aware of what is in the offing are building underground shelters in what they imagine maybe secure locations.

All of these being forerunners of these coming cycles. Not just one the GSM, but in conjunction with the re-appearing 3600 year signature cycle, extensively written and backed up with data by Immanuel Velikovsky. All I can say, should it all come to pass hang on to your hats.

Sorry, but what starts out as reasonable descends into irrational prophesy.

Any weather changes can be handled by mankind better than ever before. We are more sophisticated, better equipped and can create food in ways never imagined 100 years ago.

There is no need to panic about colder temperatures anymore than we should panic over warmer temperatures....both will be gradual changes that mankind adapts to.

Nothing will happen overnight, which means we have time to adjust.

The people empowered to ensure we have an adequate food supply, medicines, etc. (regulatory agencies) are the ones saying all that will collapse suddenly due to climate change.

Their “fix” is not to find ways to produce food during warmer seasons......their “fix” is to nationalize energy.

There is no current emergency. Mankind is doing better than at any time in history. Longer lifespans, greater personal GDP, robust health, ample food, amazing medicine, etc.

Show me something affected by climate change that threatens us? They only point to localized extreme weather events as “proof”. Floods in Venice. Earthquakes in Iran. Whatever.

Is our way of life in danger in any way? Nope.

But they propose to change our way of life and take control over more of our lives. They want to control your healthcare and your energy, making you a slave to the state.

Meanwhile, the people tasked with ensuring our systems handle change are saying they will fail. We need to fire those people.

Climate change happens slowly. Adjusting should be done slowly. Emergency actions should be used for emergencies and there are none.

If the people in charge cannot understand their role, then they should be terminated from their jobs.

It is about control and dampening man’s activity.

The elites will still jet around.

Any weather changes can be handled, so long as we quit wasting tremendous resources trying to fight AGW and thereby being faced in the wrong direction for the real calamity which will be blamed on AGW and draw even more resources away from coping with reality for years to come. We are learning ways to actually remove massive amounts of CO2 from the atmosphere and we will need all the CO2 we can get to promote plant growth where the colder weather allows crops still to grow. The enemy is attacking from the North and we are aiming all our guns and moving all our armies to the South.

That is correct. Weather costs are about 0.2% of GDP worldwide and that percentage is declining as GDP rises. See https://theclimatefix.wordpress.com/2018/01/04/weather-disasters-as-proportion-of-global-gdp-1990-2017/

We definitely needed more CO2, past tense. We no longer need more CO2. But we don't have the capability or need to remove massive amounts of CO2 from the atmosphere. We do have some capability to sequester concentrated CO2 (exhaust) in some cases. But removing massive amounts of ambient CO2 requires massive farms of algae, grasses, trees or artificial photosynthesis which do not have and cannot create cheaply.

Freedom paid a heavy price to get into The Collectivist’s Cup. It battled down the backstretch but broke down in the far turn (they shoot horses don’t they?). Down the stretch it was Marx vs. Mohammed. At the wire it was Mohammed by a head.

That’s absolutely right. It’s how Venus became a greenhouse planet. Water vapor was created by the sun which in turn trapped CO2 coming from the surface. My theory is some leftist looking at this said “Ah hah! The atmosphere of Venus is 96% CO2 therefore CO2 created a greenhouse planet” NOT!
