To: Tolerance Sucks Rocks

So, the judge is saying that voters will automatically tend to vote for the name that appears first? Or that voters are too lazy to read both names? Or that it’s too hard to vote for the name that appears second? Or that the order of the names implies some sort of ranking system? Or?

“Yes” to all. When I ran elections in the ‘80s, our ballots were printed with all names rotated from ballot to ballot, and within each race; it was a planning and printing nightmare! If eight people ran for Governor, there were eight ballots, and ditto for down-ballot races. It was learned that voters ARE too stupid to think, and they often DO pick the first one on a list.
