Trump Jr's 'Triggered' debuts at No. 1 on NY Times bestselling list
The Hill ^ | 11 13 2019 | Joe Concha

Donald Trump Jr.'s first book "Triggered: How the Left Thrives on Hate and Wants to Silence Us” debuted at #1 on The New York Times nonfiction bestseller list on Wednesday.

"Triggered," which was officially released on Tuesday, outlines Trump Jr.'s political views while also discussing President Trump's campaign and administration.

The top-ranking comes amid a national book tour from the president’s oldest son that included a contentious stop at ABC's "The View" last week. The visit, which came on the opinion roundtable program's 5000th episode, was seen by more than 3 million viewers, marking the show’s most-watched episode since April, according to Nielsen.

No person except a natural born Citizen, OR a Citizen of the United States,....

You left off the most important part...

No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution...

How could you miss that and then try to misinterpret that?

I am an American citizen by birth and I have no other citizenship and no other passport.

Was your citizenship granted to you under USC 8?

Obama was President. At this point anybody born in the US as a citizen is eligible. That leaves Ted Cruz out but pretty much everybody else running the last couple of elections would be OK the way it is now.

President Trump's first 3 children did not receive birthright citizenshipAccording to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, a person can gain citizenship if “at least one parent, including an adoptive parent, is a U.S. citizen by birth or through naturalization.” If Trump were to take away birthright citizenship, the Trump children would still be citizens because their father is a U.S. citizen.

Now ask yourself these questions...

Why would the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, of all places, be asked to weigh in on this matter?
Do they have, say...jurisdiction over USC 8 issues?
The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services doesn't have jurisdiction over natural born citizens, do they?

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services did say they were citizens and they didn't say they were natural born citizens...right?

That's like saying that a murderer who hasn't been caught yet isn't a murderer at all, even when there were witnesses to the act.

It’s not worth arguing about. He’s eligible. He’s a United States citizen. Born and raised here. You interpret the clause your way...

Because her Dad was a foreign diplomat when she was born here. President Trump was never a foreign diplomat.

The post I was originally replying to was whether Donald Trump Jr. is eligible to be President. He is. This woman is not and should have never been a citizen because her father was a foreign diplomat when she was born here. She was likely given birthright citizenship by mistake. That is why this judge decided she will not be allowed back into the country.

It’s getting to the point that, with all of these exotic and interesting individuals with so many different flavorful foreign backgrounds to choose from, regular old natural born citizens with pure vanilla American backgrounds (at most, perhaps their grandparents were once citizens of a foreign land), though competent, say, and inarguably eligible, are being drowned out by others deemed more exciting from a marketing standpoint.

Of course, if we had the capacity to behave more maturely and self-respectfully as a nation, those “others” would be forced down into the audience like the rest of us, not up on the debate stage reserved for actual POTUS-eligible candidates.

Let the word go forth. Let us declare expressly that the Command in chief of the U.S. Armed Forces shall not be given to, nor devolve on, any but a plain vanilla Citizen. Exotic flavors need not apply.

Nominating an ineligible candidate might work for Democrats but it would be pointless for Republicans, they will lose.
There are enough of us that know what natural born citizen means that will not vote for him/her.

I was born in the US, so I am a US citizen by birth. My citizenship wasn't "granted", it is my birthright and can never be taken away from me.

True enough.

My parents were both foreign nationals when I was born.
So your parents weren't naturalized citizens when you were born, right?

I don’t see how Obama factors

The debate was about where he was born ( The US or Kenya) Hence the debate on wanting to see the birth certificate needed to show a US birth

There was no debate about the citizenship of who he was born to which was also US and Kenaya

Don Jr also has one Foreign national parent but I don’t think there’s a debate he was born in the US therefore US citizen..

He has a US Birth certificate and US citizen parent

Ted Cruz has more nationality eligibility questions then Don jr has

Or are some now claiming Natural citizenship requires

three things

That
The mother be a US Citizen
The father be a US Citizen
That you be born in the United States

He was born a dual citizen."

DT Jr is not a dual citizen.

==================================

He most certainly was. He may not be now, but he in fact was born a dual citizen.

He inherited his foreign mother's foreign citizenship by birthright.

There is no law in the U.S. that could prevent a Czech citizen mother from passing her Czech citizenship on to her children.

The people who hate the Trumps are saying it’s due to bulk sales. I’ve never heard anyone else accused of benefitting by bulk sales — even the Scientologists who are known for making bulk purchases of their books. It’s so maddening.
