What ‘stand’ do you expect me to take, beyond the one I’ve chosen?
We have laws, regulations, procedures in place; and I expect them to be followed; and I expressed the hope that there are still some authentic human beings in place who will demand that they ARE followed.

I remember watching the various Watergate hearings, too; and I remember the great respect that I had for so many of the Senators and Congressmen - both sides of the aisle - and for the dignity with which they conducted the proceedings.
We share the same memory. I was in high school at the time and remember how Senator Ervin and Congressman Rodino ran their committees. They knew they were in almost uncharted waters in regards to the Presidency and treated as to what they were doing as almost a reverence to the institution.
During the Kavanaugh hearing I thought of those Watergate hearings many times and wondered where the statesman or leaders were. Unfortunately, those days are way behind us and we are never going to see the likes of that again. The Kavanugh hearings sealed it for me.

Yes, I’m afraid that all of the Trump drama is hiding the amnesty that Lee, Nunes, Graham, Harris, and others are cooking up. They’ll do it with voice vote so that Lyn’ Ted and Little Marco and others can vote with them.

I won't be watching either. Who needs a replay of this tomfoolery! Heck I've barely paid attention to Shiff and Pelosie in the run up! It was obvious what they were up to and only intersting when they kept tripping over their own shoes.

I remember Barbara Jordan.
Don’t give up!
Our Country, and our system of Constitutional government, are still ‘the last best hope’.

Technically, he shouldn’t if senators are supposed to keep an open mind and consider only the evidence presented to them as jurors.

“Bless his heart”.
Actually, I will absolutely not be watching!

So essentially, Lindsay Graham, although majority leader, is just a bystander. He states that it falls under the jurisdiction of this one or that one and he hopes they would look into it. If this really is how things work, these cretin politicians have structured our government to be a useless entity; one only effective in impeaching Donald Trump.

I won’t be watching because I work for a living. What’s Graham’s excuse?
To: conservative98
I won’t watch, either. But I hope RATs do — just to see how corrupt their freak Schiff is. Then they can ask themselves, “Is this how I’d want a prosecutor to treat ME here in America?”. Even a dolt with a shoe-size IQ gets “that’s not fair”.

Do Republicans on the committee have the opportunity to cross examine the witnesses?

“Do Republicans on the committee have the opportunity to cross examine the witnesses?”
Only if Schifty gives his permission, and he pretty much said he won’t. And GOP can only call wittnesses Shifty approves of.
Sham.

Sorry, I shouldnt post before coffee.....chair of Senate judiciary committee, not majority leader. Then again, its easy to forget about McConnell, hes kind of obscure lately.
