Best wishes for a successful operation.
I am retiring from the military soon. For my retirement, I can request a letter from every former president that I served under.
I know this is selfish, but upon seeing this news, I hope I have already received the letter from Carter.
Take the pain pill and avoid the surgery.
Obama says so. It isn’t cost effective to continue his Castro sucking life.
Yeah, well, I’ve got my own problems. It’s 17 degrees outside and I still haven’t found a guy to prune my crabapple tree.
That kind of microsurgery can be tricky.
They are saying bleeding on the brain because of recent falls. I thought he had brain cancer.
Shouldn’t we Republicans stand outside Carter’s hospital room banging pots and pans and shouting death threats like the left did to McConnell when he was recovering from surgery? Oh, that’s right, we’re not total a**holes.
Get well soon, Mr. President. Prayers for a successful surgery and quick healing.
I wonder if former President 0bama told him just to take a couple of aspirin, as Carter is too old to spend medicare money on? That was bh0’s advice to a lady who objected to 0bamacare for her 90 year old mother? And bh0’s CoS’s brother Ezekiel Emmanual that folks older than 75 shouldn’t receive anything except for a suicide pill.
I don’t wish Carter ill, I hope the surgery is a success, but would like his comment on violating “Democrapt health policy.” Just for the sake of honesty.
Hardly ‘Breaking News’, imho.
Perhaps it’s just my endemic malaise . . .
Even though I dislike the man from what I have discerned by watching him over the decades, and disagree intensely with him on nearly everything ranging from his belief systems and policies, I don’t wish him ill.
I have always simply wanted him to leave the public stage and stay out of politics in the way that retired Presidents used to do.
He broke that paradigm and his successors have largely followed suit, and while I do hold that against him, I still wish him and his family peace in his last days, whenever those might be.
If Carter kicks the bucket it would distract from the impeachment fraud. Bummer.
Prayers up for Jimmah. Remember when the McGovernites thought he was a “right winger”? How that sick party has channged.
...Mikva was nominated by President Jimmy Carter on May 29, 1979, to the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, to a new seat authorized by 92 Stat. 1629.[13...
**oldest-ever ex-president still teaches Sunday school roughly twice a month at Maranatha Baptist Church in his tiny hometown of Plains in southwest Georgia. His message is unfailingly about Jesus, not himself.**
I wonder if he ever taught about when Jesus forgave the adulterous woman? Jesus closed his comments to her with: “...Go, and sin no more”. (John 8:11).
That shows that Jesus forgave sin, but did NOT approve of it; and expected the forgiven to avoid continuing in sin.
Had she been with another woman, or aborted a baby, I would think that Jesus would have said the same thing. Many so called Sunday school teachers and preachers don’t follow Jesus completely in fear of offending the listeners or a political segment.
Jesus preached against sin. Has Jimmy been teaching against sin,... all sin,... including sexual sins,.. and abortion? In earshot of newspeople??
(I have thought of that story many times, and wondered what Jesus wrote on the ground. Did he write, “where is the man that is the other half of this offense? Why did you not bring him as well?” Or maybe he just wrote names of offenders that were not present, but their “partners” in sin were right there accusing the woman.)
Jesus also said that the way to heaven is straight and narrow. That’s not popular preaching; never has been, never will be.
Too bad he didn’t stick exclusively to Sunday school teaching and peanut farming.
Don’t like his politics of course, but nothing but good wishes for the man. Wrong on many accounts but he always seemed to be a sincere and honest individual.
Sorry. I can’t play ‘nice.’
If only he had turned down his thermostat and put on a sweater, all would’ve been well! ;)
If he doesn’t make it through this, 0bama gets to wear the crown of Worst. President. Ever.
I DO owe a LOT to President Carter, though. He was the first President I had as I came of age. He showed me how TERRIBLY you could run a country and make a bad situation WORSE in his short four years.
I joined the Army because THERE WERE NO JOBS and I needed a job and a way to pay for college. My folks had a mortgage that was 18%! OMG! Can you even IMAGINE that? Credit cards were 22% and above!
There were lines for gasoline - when you could get it!
And then we had to suffer through 444 days of a terrorist hostage situation!
Thanks for the memories you Communist-Loving jerk.
I agree.
The evil that men do lives after them; The good is oft interred with their bones. ― William Shakespeare
