I cannot fathom why Israel continues to employ the ROE’s used by the free world..... you don’t do “commensurate response” to people who have the sole objective of destroying you.... they launch a few missiles, so Israel is constrained to launch a few missiles..... This results in never-ending war. You respond to attacks like this on civilians by making the ENEMY want to take out the leaders who attack you, because their actions are bringing down destruction on THEM.

Israel is obviously in a tough position. If she were to respond to an attack with overwhelming force, the world’s public opinion would turn against her. And that is not something that can simply be ignored.
The really sick thing is that when the Islamists commit an outrage (like firing rockets into a civilian area), no one gets particularly upset.

They know where each missile was fired from. Flatten everything within a half kilometer of such points. It won't take long until the people demand that the launch sites be moved from population centers.

Because Israel IS civilized and thoughtful.
If it killed civilians, there would be even more outcry. Think of all the fake "israeli soldier killing Pali civilian" photos you've seen - all fake.
Now imagine they did take off the gloves?
I personally think the only solution is to take all the people out of Gaza and put them in the West Bank. that's easy said than done, but the only way I think possible
