Regular drivers kill jaywalkers by the boatload

What would you rather trust your life to if you had to cross the street with no crosswalk, or even with a crosswalk? A car with no driver or a car with a human driver?

I like the idea of computer assisted driving sensors.

However, I don't want to be in a car with no steering wheel or brakes. I want a fully manual emergency override.

I've seen videos of people sleeping in self-driving cars. Fools and idiots.

Are you talking about sober drivers? Or little or ladies, drunks, drivers impaired by both legal and illegal drugs? Or states with legalized pot? Or drivers distracted by their mobile phones? There were 6,227 pedestrian deaths in 2018, the rate is going to be higher this year.

To be honest, as technology improves it will be a safer solution.
