Moloch, who was among numerous false gods that were popular in the ancient pagan societies, and, at times, among the Jewish people as well, is one historical example of child sacrifice, which included “passing the child through fire”.
Only, today, instead of “passing the child through fire”, the ritual is marked by stripping the unborn child out of the womb, a sacrament that has been heralded as a “virtue” in today’s inverted morality.
