Depressing the trigger, kickback hammers my body as the bullet exits the barrel.
The polished wooden stock jams into the part of my shoulder where it's nestled, rocking me back as I open my closed eye, hoping to catch a glimpse of what I hit more than 300 yards away.
There isn't a dust cloud, and the men at my back nod their heads in approval.
I hit the target, and I'm determined do it again.

Call me skeptical. Love the 2nd amendment? Love Obama? That doesn’t compute.
They ALL have lever guns in one image. I’ve never seen that many lever guns in 30 years of shooting, even at cowboy action events! And these lever guns are not going to reach 300 yards and reliably hit the target.

I wonder if they all keep their rifles locked up at the gun club. Seems like a common-sense thing to do.

No, they vote for politicians that will disarm, you and me, not them. Being a card carrying member of the club that is the ultimate in hypocrisy, they’ll be able to flash their Democrat Voter Registration card and get a pass. They’ll say, lets disarm all those rightwingers, first, we’ll come back for yours later. You’ll need to be able to defend yourself in case something happens.

They can’t just say something like....a group of like-minded individuals enjoying a day at the range, that come from all over the country and all cross sections of life....or some other blah blah blah.

You start with a 22 and work your way up in caliber so that you don’t develop bad habits. Bad habits are hard to break, which is why you try to avoid developing them.

Yep. The left has been studying, and practicing urban guerilla warfare for awhile now, while our side wont get off our asses and man a voter registration table.
People with our values are getting old, but new young conservatives— who will ultimately be on the frontlines in the event of street combat— need training & guidance.
FWIW, the best books on guerilla warfare are the ones by Mao Tse Tung & Che Guevara, plus others available on Amazon.
