I’ll call and raise you 16 more: my father’s mother’s parents married when she was 16 and he was 42. He was three times widowed, each predecessor dying of diseases that today one set of pills would cure. They stayed together until his death 20 years later.

My FIL was 28 when he married my MIL in 1949. She had just turned 15. They had 7 kids, 5 of them by the time she was 22. They were married for 49 years. Of course, he ended up spending time in jail for diddling a couple of his granddaughters. I thank God we didn’t live closer.
