Democrats won 10 of the last 12 governors elections in Kentucky BEFORE yesterday. Bevin was actually an anomaly as a GOP governor even in a state that votes red on a national level.
Kentucky turned even redder. GOP knocked off long time Dem incumbents in the SOS and AG offices.
Thats great news in spite of the Bevin loss.
Conservatives often have trouble finding and developing issues at the state and local level. Moreover, in most counties and cities, units of government are the largest employers. Republican anti-tax and anti-government sentiments commonly have only a qualified appeal for such voters and their families.
