Absurd that on an army post nobody had a gun handy to stop the shooter.

Actually, 14 were killed cause one female soldier was pregnant. The baby died. But they never mention this little KIA, since unborn babies are not classified as humans.

One thing not mentioned is Hassan is now confined to a wheelchair. He hoped for death, but now he has to have the humiliation of having a male nurse have to take care of him.

Aside from security men at arms is up to the base commander. Only recently troops who obtained a CCW permit are allowed to carry on base, but not civilians.

In military cases, there are several mandatory appeal stages and a military death sentence requires final approval by the president, as commander in chief.

Despite the expected delays, survivors of the shooting welcomed the verdict. According to news reports, Kathy Platoni, an Army reservist, said: “From the bottom of my heart — he doesn’t deserve to live. I don’t know how long it takes for a death sentence to be carried out, but the world will be a better place without him.”

How can we forget General George Casey? From Reuters:

General George Casey, the Army’s top officer, is concerned that diversity will become a casualty of the Fort Hood tragedy.

TEXAS-SHOOTING/The religious beliefs of suspect Major Nidal Malik Hasan, a Muslim Army psychiatrist, have led to speculation about motive in the shooting rampage that killed 13 people.

“I’m concerned that this increased speculation could cause a backlash against some of our Muslim soldiers. And I’ve asked our Army leaders to be on the lookout for that,” Casey told CNN’s “State of the Union.”

Asked on NBC’s “Meet the Press” whether Muslim soldiers are conflicted in fighting wars in Muslim countries like Afghanistan and Iraq, Casey said: “I think that’s something that we have to look at on an individual basis. But I think we as an Army have to be broad enough to bring in people from all walks of life.”

The bottom line is the military benefits from diversity, he said.

“Our diversity, not only in our Army, but in our country, is a strength. And: AS HORRIFIC AS THIS TRAGEDY WAS, IF OUR DIVERSITY BECOMES A CASUALTY, I THINK THAT’S WORSE(A Tragedy)” Casey said.

Get that. “Diversity” is worth MORE to Casey than 13 Dead(12 Soldiers and one civilian) and 30 wounded soldiers.

General Casey is/was an ABSOLUTE disgrace in this situation. He is/was your typical DC Swamp Soldier. Totally disconnected from REAL soldiers.

This is a golden opportunity for President Trump to reminder the country of this horrible incident and the threat that guys like this pose to Americans.

I also believe that he should give an executive order for Hasan to be executed immediately. He should already be dead, it's 100% the right thing to do, and I think it would be an instant massive boost to his popularity.
