The “Mormon” issue here on FR never bothered me but the open border stance by them makes my blood boil. Let’s see how El Trumpo the Magnificent handles this...

Wiping these cartels out, would be very easy. The intel from Mexican citizens would be enormous, esp if there was bounty paid.

You could zero in on them with drone attackes. There would be zero collateral damages.

I wouldn’t trust the Mexican army to help us, so why risk our guys on the ground.

I don’t think Mexico would ask for our help, but if they did, El Trumpo would step in with both feet and it would be another problem resolved quickly. Compared to what we do routinely in the ME, and knows about, cleaning up the drug cartels would be easy.

I know hundreds of Latter-day Saints and not one promotes open borders. What they do teach is one should show charity towards those who are suffering and should view them as if they were Christ himself. Thus, when a refugee or a starving child shows up at the border, we have an ethical duty to help them. This does not mean grant them citizenship or bypass the legal immigration process, it means if one is able, then feed and clothe and shelter them. And if it is safe, return them to their place of origin.

After all, aren’t Christians supposed to help the suffering? Aren’t we supposed to emulate the Good Samaritan?

So, why would your blood boil over something that is actually commanded by our God, Jesus Christ?
