Broward Senator Perry Thurston responds to Stoneman Douglas dad’s claim he lied

State Sen. Perry Thurston is pushing back hard against the father of a student killed in the Parkland school massacre after the father accused him of lying during a Senate debate.

Thurston, a Broward Democrat, slammed what he characterized as an “unmitigated attack by the strident voices on the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Public Safety Commission.”

Thurston was referring to comments made by Max Schachter, whose 14-year-old son Alex was killed in the school shooting, and is a member of the school safety commission.

Schachter said Saturday he wasn’t attacking Thurston. He said he was trying to set the record straight and calling out the senator for lying.

Thurston, in a written statement Friday evening, said: “Unfortunately, vocal elements on the commission and within the Parkland community continue to attack anyone who disagrees with their pencil-thin point-of-view.”

Sleeping Beauty Thurston upset that one of his constituents, whose son was one of the students killed in the Parkland shooting dared to question his integrity. Perhaps if Thirston were a little more awake and attentive he'd would've voted to uphold the ironically named Israel's termination. Ironic since he's butt buddies with the quasi terrorists at the Miami chapter of CAIR. Aside from his arrogant incompetence in dealing with the school shooting, that reason alone should have prevented him from wearing a badge in the first place.

That is brazen for Thurston, a Broward Democrat, to unjustifiably attack a grieving father who lost his son because of the stupidity of the Democrat run county.

Having lived in Broward for more than 50 years before leaving five years ago, I can confirm that it has been a Democrat pigpen for decades. The east side used to be pretty conservative, but not any more. Ft. Lauderdale is run by blacks and homosexuals. The west has always been a NE refugee Dem stronghold. The judges are corrupt or incompetent, the school board ditto, and the schools are nothing more than an indocrtination operation.
