It is not a pro pr con position on Trump’s Syria/Kurds policy to realize/admit that his actions show there is total leadership from the WhiteHouse, not the DOD, not the State Department, not the “diplomats” and not the bureaucrats in general. The “leader” is the President, the Commander In Chief, not those who report to the President and not those who work under them.
All Engel is really doing is registering his chagrin at Trump not leaving the deep state in charge.
He is also showing his A@@ as the “deep state” wrong part of Mossad (appeasers and Russian interlocutors/”rabbis” who are all around the Beltway, and known to white hat Patriots)- who is embedded in liberal democrat machine. And whose pals, as you point out in DOD, State and banking are not happy that the Leadership exists and comes direct from whom it SHOULD come from, Constitutionally.
