What, exactly, is President Trump’s ‘high crime’ here?
The New York Post ^ | November 1, 2019 | Deroy Murdock

The Constitution is quite clear: The president “shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.”

Democrats are speeding toward the impeachment of President Trump with this standard barely a pebble in their path.

The Constitution does not permit impeachment because the House finds the president loud, dislikes his policies or simply regards him with uncontrollable, pathological, stammer-inducing hatred. Nonetheless, Democrats despise Trump and are determined to impeach him, no matter what. Still, the question remains: How, exactly, is Trump even accused of “Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors?”

Treason? No one has claimed that Trump provided aid and comfort to the enemy during wartime. At worst, he delayed aid to a friendly nation with which America is at peace.

That’s not treason.

Democrats are looking for a crime they can pin on Trump. The problem for them is they don’t have one.

They’ll impeach the President anyway.

The “high crime and misdemeanor” Trump committed was 1) running for the office of President and 2) succeeding in getting elected to that office!

Yup. Democrats know he’ll be re-elected so they’ve decided to head him off at the pass.

The President’s “high crime” is having the legal power to investigate and expose the Democrat’s corruption since Obama was elected President, especially the corruption of all his accusers and their conspirators.

If this were North Korea, there would be empty anti aircraft shells strewn across the landscape.

Trump’s “crime” was that he informed the Ukrainian government that Joe Biden’s opposition to the investigation of Burisma no longer represented U.S. policy.

accordign to the lweft now- the ‘high crime’ is his ‘Quid’

They claim there didn’t need to be a ‘pro quo’- just a Quid- that makes it a crime- according to them- a leftie prosecutor said today ju8st trying to pull a quid is a crime whether it was successful or not- just like, apparently, soliciting a prostitute, paying her money, but not going through with the act is a crime- or some such nonsense like that- or perhaps more like hiring someone to beat the crap out of someone, but not having the attack go through-

Yes seriously, that is how they are arguing this now- claiming he only needed to pull a quid- without hte pro quo

What’s ironic and absurd is that TIME and LIFE go fast.

Trump’s got one year on his first term and we’ll wake up tomorrow and it will be 2024.

They’re not taking down a dictator.

Try to beat him in a YEAR and at worst (in their eyes) live with him another FIVE years.

Not FIFTY.

Not even TWENTY.

They will destroy this country over five lousy years.

Out of hundreds.

Simply incredible.

They said they don’t need a crime.

The problem with their theory is that when they’re done rakinf him over the coals in the House, they have to turn it over to the senate where he will be tried on the articles of impeachment drawn up by the House. The house is going to have to come up with some solid, provable evidence, and opinion of intent to commit a crime isn’t going to be enough to put him out of office.

The Senate isn’t going to find him guilty of anything because there isn’t anything.

The demonrats say the evidence exists if you’re willing to see it. Well, the problem with that lies with subjective opinion. Example: A parent refuses to allow his teenager to go to a party where alcolol will be present. The kid thinks its because his parent doesn’t trust him and is therefore. A total jerk who has never liked the kid. The parent’s motive of course is to teach the kid how to say no to potentially problematic situations and to protect the kid from drunk driving issues where the kid could be a victim of someone else’s lack of self control.
The demonrats are represented by the kid.
Subjective opinion should never hold weight in a court of law.

None of us is God. Only God is able to read true motive.

Yes, some motives are on display with supporting behaviors, but not in the President’s case regarding this impeachment.

Btw, if my efforts at “education” don’t apply to you...then that’s fine. Move on to the next post. My post is aimed at those who just might need it.

Trump can stop ALL of this with one phone call

Tell Barr to stop the investigations.

Much of the RAT criminality will lead to Obama. Pelosi is not going to let that happen. Or so she thinks

He ran for office as a Republican. If he had run as a Democrat, won and did exactly the same things while in office, the Dems would have no problem with him whatsoever.

> The Constitution does not permit impeachment because the House finds the president loud... <

Actually, it does. A “high crime” was meant to be a crime committed by a high official. And the Constitution leaves it completely up to the House to define that crime. Heck, Benjamin Franklin once remarked that a President could be impeached just for being rude.

Of course, just because you can impeach doesn’t mean that you must impeach. The Founders assumed that there would be first be crime, and then an impeachment. But today’s Democrats first decided to impeach, and then look for a crime.
