The president is the commander in chief.
The speaker of the house and other assorted political operatives are not in the military chain of command. So they had no need to know what was going on. Thus, they found out about it when we all did as news reports came out.
Why is the focus NOT on the success of the mission, rather than these side issues of who was kept out of the loop? Why does any of that matter if the mission was a success?

Trump's Sunday Q & A involved one exchange during which he praised an unnamed reporter's question and her network's "excellent work." My guess is that it was definitely NOT FoxNews but rather OAN.
Ideally, Newsmax, OAN, Townhall and Breitbart would join up so that we could have a far more powerful and top-notch network free from C. Wallace, J. Williams, B. Baer, and those terrible weekend libs. It could feature real professionals and star reporters like Maria Bartiromo and Sheryl Atkinson.
