There is little that Jeffrey Younger and Anne Georgulas agree on about one of their twins.
To start: Is the 7-year-old transgender?
It’s a question that has divided the Coppell, Tex., parents — on how Luna, who was named James at birth, should be dressed to school and wear their hair. On whether the child should receive gender-affirming care, which could eventually lead to medical treatment to delay puberty. On which parent should get to live with the twins, and who should have a say in decisions over their health.

I don’t know how much, if any, of this came out in the trial about the child but Georgulas did get the marriage annulled and Younger (the father) was shown to be a massive liar. This may have contributed to the jury finding in favor of the mother.

To the loony left, having a transgender child is just another status symbol in their cornucopia of sick and twisted status symbols. And if some don’t have one, they’ll try to create one.

The belief that feelings are the ultimate truth even against reality cause lots of problems.
Mental health impossible with that belief.

When a real baby sister arrived, she wouldn’t put up with it, either. So much for one’s gender expectations.
Maybe both parents are nuts. Might be better off being raised by family members.
The child acts like a boy when he’s with his dad, so dad calls him James.
So mom demands & receives full custody & a restraining order.
This all started when the kid— a twin, btw— was 3 and wanted (presumably for a day or two, or until he saw a different cartoon) to wear a sparkly outfit like he saw in the movie “Frozen.”
Mom assures everyone “Luna” won’t begin “transitioning” with chemicals or surgery until later, when Luna is ready, but for now, the restraining order requires no one —including Dad— can be around the child if they fail to “affirm” “her” gender “identity.”

Mr. Younger may be all kinds of a creep, but his son is still male. It’s a shame both boys couldn’t have a better class of parents.

This is Leftspeak for puberty blocking drugs and chemical castration.
I live in this area. There are complaints that the mother had sexual activists sharing the lie “if they don’t get affirmed, they die from suicide, save my baby and make him a girl!” At the same time, friends of the family and parents of the boys’ playmates were NOT allowed to testify that James acts like a boy and identifies as James when away from the mother.
This is a mentally ill mother projecting onto her son, a child she likely wished was a girl. SHE decided he’s really a girl when he liked a girl’s toy. SHE is pushing this.
The father has been hit with a gag order, and the ruling is tailored to shut down the father’s legal fund. More importantly, the judge did NOT say the child isn’t going forward with sex hormone injections. It just says the father can have a SAY.
The mother is a pediatrician and political activist, so she’s already getting more weight in court in her delusion that one son is really a daughter. (It started when one twin boy liked the girls’ toy at McDonald’s more than the boy toy.) The fact that she and her chosen consultants consider gender change medically appropriate has not changed.
This revision is a strategic effort to try to shut down the father and his legal rights without undoing the damage.
Dad’s outgunned and now hamstrung.
