It took just 10 minutes to find data-divulging demons corrupting Pope's Click to Pray eRosary app

Exclusive The technology behind the Catholic Church’s latest innovation, an electronic rosary, is so insecure, it can be trivially hacked to siphon off worshipers' personal information.

The eRosary, which went on sale this week at just $109 (£85) a pop, consists of ten metallic beads, and a metal cross that’s Bluetooth enabled, has wireless charging, and is motion sensitive.

When the wearer makes the sign of the cross with the rosary, the accompanying Click to Pray app on their paired phone or tablet activates: this software suggests which rosary movements to make, and which prayers to mumble. It can also be configured to remind believers that it's time for a chat with God.

However, infosec bods at UK-based Fidus Information Security quickly uncovered flaws in the backend systems used by the Click to Pray app, which is available for iOS and Android. The security vulnerabilities are more embarrassing than life-threatening.

Seriously is the invention really the work of the Vatican,, or just some huckster trying to rope in Roman Catholics?

Just give me God’s email address and I’ll pray directly without all the gadgetry.

Hard to tell. The hatred seethes from the author: “and which prayers to mumble.”

With all the open perversions it wouldn’t surprise me if it was actually created by someone in the Catholic Church’s hierarchy to do data mining.

There really is nothing that should be ruled out when it comes to the Catholic Church, especially in this day and age.

Hard to imagine anyone paying $109 for a Rosary app.

The ten metal beads were originally sold from an adult toy site, hence the malware

The blood the GOD’s holy SON, JESUS CHRIST, shed on the cross, for each one of us, I don’t have to go through anyone to pray to our FATHER IN HEAVEN, and I know that HE hears my prayers.

I can only shake my head at this pope.

Hate to say it out loud.

Quod Papa Diaboli : “Digital Indulgences for sale, $109 and you too will avoid hellfire, Digital Indulgences for sale, get your fresh hot Digital Indulgence.”

Time for someone to go and nail a new treatise to a door.

In the 70s, he’d be a few Monty Python skits.

I always said that this data mining is Satanic.

Google, Facebook, Amazon etc. and Frankie; They all work to bring the anti-Christ to power; Some unwittingly, for avarice; Some with full understanding of the ultimate result.

Sounds like the greatest app since the iToilet.

If only George hadn’t given all of his money to Bernie Madoff.

Gosh, it's hard to imagine how the False Prophet will be able to direct so many.

Oh, wait. It isn't. Wouldn't surprise me if people use their Mark of the Beast via a phone app to buy and sell. Already have fingerprint and facial recognition with phones.

I have thought the same for a long time.

When they introduced a “virtual pope” (2004? - can’t remember) the handwriting, as it were, was on the wall.

Simply project an image of the Beast (ooh, Revelation 13) and the False Prophet all around the world for the virtual experience (to sign up for the Mark of the Beast).

The technology is here and has been for awhile.

It’s much easier to control people if you know all of their dirt. Had a guy we hired at a church as an associate pastor. He spent a lot of time digging on people through various methods. I was part of the hiring process because I was directed to do so by the senior pastor. These days, I’d ask more, cough, fundamental questions in regards to the Bible.

One of the clearest warnings I ever got from the Holy Spirit came, unexpectedly (as usual), came about this guy. It came true, word-for-word, just 2 to 3 years later. I found out from the senior pastor 3 to 4 years later. I can’t recall if I told him about the Word of Knowledge I’d been given. I’m not sure if he would have believed me before. He certainly would have believed me afterwards.
