Chick-fil-A, the controversial American fast food brand, famous as much for its donations to anti-LGBTQ organisations as it is for fried chicken sandwiches, is being forced to close its first U.K. restaurant. It opened only eight days ago.

The US eatery was un-PC.

I think they should go very, very bold, and open in Vietnam.

Really.

This place is taking off, and there are FAR too few international food outlets here.

Chick-fil-a would do GREAT here.

For real. Come to Vietnam.

Open about 20. Right here in Ho Chi Minh City.

You will sell a ton.

It’s Christian. It’s not “anti” anybody. The moral beliefs of people can be different. It’s ok.

There is no gender confusion, here.

At least, not the type, which invades places of work.

I’m completely serious here.

This economy is going to take off. It’s already starting.

I know that, and you know that.

But Europe is not where they should go next.

Come to Vietnam.

(OK now I will be quiet, don’t want to get too riled up, but I really think the company would be amazed by the way things operate here - very friendly, I would think)

This is not the Vietnam, you learned about, back in America.

The property owner was pressured by homosexual activists to not renew the lease, what’s to keep them from moving to a different location?

As usual a fake victory for the left. The owner of the shopping canter is not renewing the lease due only to leftist pressure. I recommend stand alone locations for all new CFAs. We have one in a mall that’s been there since the 70s and is in no danger of ever closing unless the mall dies. It’s done so well that a few years ago they opened a large stand alone location directly across the street. Both are always busy.

It’s gotten to the point where if you don’t participate in homosexual orgies, every minute, every hour, every day, then you are a fire breathing anti-gay bigot.

We see where this is going.

Chik Fil A would also do well in japan, just as KFC has.

When I was stationed in Vietnam (1969-1971) my wife would get Fried Chicken and Fried Shrimp at the KFC in Vungtau. It was open 24/7.

“... its donations to anti-LGBTQ organisations ...”

As #3 implies the left has (and we have allowed) the CFA donations to Christian organizations to be spun into the above commentary. The left states that any donation to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and such, is in fact a donation to an anti-LGBTQ cause regardless of the Christian organization’s stated goals.

Bangkok is ripe for chik-fil-a as well. They would be wrapped around the block waiting to get in.

It is called Saigon by a lot of people who grew up here. There are still lots of places with the name.

People from the northern parts of the country, and maps and such say Thanh Pho Ho Chi Minh. I also do, my wife has most of her family (though just over half) from the north, so I refer to it as Ho Chi Minh City.

They’re not real hung up about such things, though. I have never been corrected either way.

There was a period of time following the war, when things were quite opposite, but now it seems to have turned around quite remarkably.

Even up north, there is MUCH more attention paid to making sure you are properly documented if you are here visiting, but the way one of the guys from my wife’s village explained it to me, they just want to be sure I had good intentions.

I did, so it wasn’t any sort of issue.

I really think this is the time, for companies to come here.

It is quite remarkable.

I have lived here now, almost four years.

In all of that time, I have I think, met TWO racist Vietnamese.

Really.

It is quite remarkable.

Unlike any other place I have been.

Might still be.

Vung Tao is very much, a global destination, in my view anyway.

Lots, and lots of development there.

Much of the left is unable accept people with different moral beliefs. Just knowing the owners are christian is enough for them to reject it.

Not being a business expert I'm tempted to take seriously the stories I've read about franchise companies that have started out strong but, some time later, found themselves in trouble for expanding too far and/or too fast.

That isn't what's issue here...it's PC of course.Europe is lost...absolutely lost...to depravity so we shouldn't be surprised by such stories.
