As lawmakers heard statistics Wednesday on the state of gun crime in Utah, a new study shows Utah’s rate of gun ownership has increased more than any other state over the past decade. The study, conducted by Security.org using FBI background check data, said Utah’s rate of gun sales per 1,000 adults grew 80.4% between 2009 and 2018. Only the District of Columbia, which recorded a jump of over 600%, had a greater increase — which is likely tied to the Supreme Court’s 2008 ruling in District of Columbia v. Heller, striking down the district’s most restrictive gun laws.

Yes, the mormon church pushes prepping. Mormons also believe that they will take over the world economy before end times can begin.

I don’t know about ‘taking over the world economy’.
But keeping a year or so of prep ready isn’t a bad idea, considering the times in which we are living.
I’ve just never seen exactly WHY the Mormons, in particular, do this.
Is there a Biblical reference from which they derive the practice, or does this come down as doctrine from their contemporary leaders?

To me, it’s absolutely astounding that the good citizens of Utah elected Romney in the first place. Yeh, I know the family brand is strong there. But, Utah folks have a reputation as Uber conservative. Wish they would mount an impeachment or recall drive against him. Do themselves and the country a huge service.
They only vote for open borders Bush League Republicans, so they’re just preparing for becoming North Mexico.

Story from Salt Lake TV station this morning - 22 gang members busted for selling drugs in the valley. They show five of them on the screen. Gee - i just can’t figure out what they have in common. Anyhoo the ACLU will have a fit over this.
